Abuse is abuse, it should not be categorized as one type being ok and the other being wrong. Physical abuse, mental abuse and psychological abuse are all the same. We should not accept to be victims and that's final. Abusive behaviour is a cycle, it's like a chronic disease that flounders around from being abused to becoming an abuser to being abused again. The signs are there at the begining; either at the begining of our relationships, friendships, marriage or parenthood. A victim of abuse is similar to a drug addict or alcoholic who denies having a problem. It is a process to finally wake up one day and face reality! you are being abused. Most people, when they finally discover the truth about themselves, it's too late! Abuse has no gender, race, language, religion, culture. Abuse is abuse. The solution to healing from abuse is to firstly admit that you have a problem. To accept to be abused signifies that you are ill.
