You have to involve men. The development of women cannot happen without that of men and children. Women must speak out and be equal, and men must learn to listen and share power. Only together, as an entire society will a people find a better way to live.

Violence just like any terminal ailment, it either affects or infects. Both women and men are either recepients or perpetrators of violence. Unfortunately women and children bear the pain of its all owing to their social status and capabilies.

My answer would be: Why not? They too suffer the consequences of violence - but the popular view is "they perpetrate the violence". Are all men violent?
